Large flange pop rivets, also known as big flange pop rivets or wide flange blind rivets, are a type of fast used for joining two or more materials together.

Large flange pop rivets differ from standard pop rivets in that they have a wider flange or head. The flange is the part of the rivet that provides a larger load bearing surface for the material to be joined. Larger flanges distribute the load over a larger area, which improves the strength and stability of the joint.

How Does Large flange Pop Rivets Work?

1. Position the materials to be joined together, ensuring they are aligned correctly.
2. Select an appropriately sized large flange pop riv for the application.
3. Insert the rivet through the pre-drilled holes in the materials to be joined.
4. Place the rivet gun's nosepiece over the rivet's mandrel.
5. Squeeze the handles of the rivet gun firmly to compress the rivet.
6. As the rivet is compressed, the mandrel is pulled into the rivet body, deforming it.
7. Continue squeezing the handles until you feel a "pop" or click sound, indicating that the rivet is properly set.
8. Release the handles of the rivet gun to open the jaws and remove the gun from the rivet.
9. Inspect the rivet installation to ensure it is secure and flush with the materials.
10. Repeat the process for any additional rivets required.
