Countersunk CSK Head Open End Blind Rivets

Countersunk blind rivets, are specifically designed for situations where only one side of a work surface can be accessed. These rivets feature a countersunk head that ensures a permanent hold and sits flush with the material surface. This characteristic makes them particularly suitable for applications that require a smooth surface finish or need to prevent the rivet from catching on machinery components.

To install the countersunk blind rivet, you need to insert it into a pre-drilled hole and then utilize a rivet tool to expand the nail rivet body and join the two pieces of material. Next, detach and discard the mandrel, leaving behind the countersunk blind rivet in place.

When selecting a nail rivet for your application, it is vital to consider material choice, size, and length. 

Firstly, it is important to choose a nail rivet material that matches the material used in your application to avoid issues like rusting or weakening caused by galvanic reactions. 

Additionally, selecting the correct size ensures a secure hold that can withstand vibrations. The length of the nail rivet should match the thickness of the materials being fastened and include 1.5 times the diameter of the countersunk blind rivet body to allow proper deformation. 

Furthermore, ensure that the grip range of the countersunk blind rivet is suitable for your material thickness and that the drilled holes correspond to the rivet's diameter. It is crucial not to choose a rivet that is too small as this will prevent achieving a secure bond.
