Peel rivet is a type of blind rivet designed to improve support in brittle, soft or ductile materials. The mandrel of peel rivet is designed to split the end of the rivet body into four 'petals'.The petals clamp the material tightly and spread the load over a large area. This greatly reduces the risk of the rivet breaking brittle materials or sinking into soft materials. Peel rivets are ideal for wood, insulation, drywall and plastic materials.
